After beating Croatia, Argentina has advanced to the World Cup final.
The South American team defeated their semi-final opponents 3-0 to advance to the final at the Lusail Stadium, Qatar.
They will be facing either France or Morocco in their semi-finals on Wednesday.
Argentina led with a penalty in the first half from Lionel Messi, a talisman after a foul on Julian Alvarez of Manchester City.
After a quick run into the penalty box, Alvarez tapped in Argentina’s second goal. The ball was twice deflected back into Alvarez’s path by Croatian defenders.
Argentina’s third goal was scored by Messi and Alvarez once again.
The semi-final win kept Messi’s hopes alive of winning a World Cup – in an event that could be his last major international tournament.
The 35-year-old forward has won numerous club trophies as well as personal awards during his stellar career. He was awarded the Copa America with Argentina last season.

He has yet to collect a World Cup medal winner’s medal. Argentina has won two World Cups, in 1978 and in 1986.
Argentina’s 2022 World Cup campaign began badly when they lost 2-1 to Saudi Arabia in their first group match.
They have been in great form ever since, winning over Mexico and Poland to top Group B, then beating Australia in round 16 and finally beating the Netherlands in penalty shoot-out.
