Bryan Adams’ show called off after health risk from “fat, grease and rag” ball

Rock star Bryan Adams has been forced to cancel a concert because an enermous ball of “fat, grease and rags” threatened the show.

The singer-songwriter’s appearance in Perth, Australia, was stopped because of a “potential public health risk”.

Perth water officials said the hazard was causing several “wastewater overflows” at properties near the venue.

But some – already queuing for entry to the show in the RAC Areana – were angry about the late cancellation.

Many vented their feelings on social media.

A Perth city spokesperson said:

“Our crews are working to clear the large blockage of fat, grease and rags, which has caused several wastewater overflows at properties along Wellington Street.

“The Bryan Adams’ concert was cancelled due to the risk of sewage backing up within the venue toilets, posing a potential public health risk.”

The concert promoter said the water issue “was unable to be fixed in time”.

The cancelation was “bitterly disappointing” for both fans and the artist.
