A bus driver was punched in the face after challenging a passenger not wearing a face mask.
The driver – in his 30s – was attacked on his bus waiting outside North Harrow tube station in London.
It is reported the man had been assaulted after confronting the passenger over his refusal to wear a mask.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance and later released after treatment.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.
Valuable CCTV footage has been recovered from the bus’s on-board cameras.
The police have issued a picture of a man they would like to question about the incident.
Legally, masks must still be worn on Transport for London services – including buses.
Anyone who recognises the man is asked to call police on 101 or tweet @MetCC, quoting CAD 4594/05May.
