Prince Harry should be removed from the line of succession to the throne, claims a poll.
Half of those polled thought the Prince should step aside.
Despite “quitting” Royal duties the Duke of Sussex is still sixth in line to ascend the crown.
A snap survey by YouGov – carried out a mere three days after “Megxit” was announced – showed 49% of people thought Harry should be removed from the line of succession.
He and his wife Meghan have walked away from their Royal duties to earn millions of pounds in America.
Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Harry and the Duchess of Sussex’s departure was permanent.
They will not return as working Royals.
The Queen has stripped them of their Royal patronages.
Former soldier Harry has also lost his honorary military titles.
YouGov found that 49% of those questioned felt the 36-year-old duke should be removed as sixth in line.
Some 28% said he should not be removed, while a quarter (24%) did not know.
The current batting order is: The Prince of Wales (William and Harry’s father), Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis (all Prince William’s children), Prince Harry, and Archie Mountbatten-Windsor (Harry and Meghan’s son).
Harry has retained his HRH style which he has had from birth but has no longer used.
