Prince Philip has been taken to hospital after “feeling unwell”.
The 99-year-old Duke of Edinburgh was taken to the King Edward VII Hospital in London last night.
His illness is not Covid-19 related and it is believed he travelled by car.
He walked into the hospital.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said:
“The Duke’s admission is a precautionary measure.”
He is expected to be kept in for a few days for observation and rest.
The Duke has been isolating with the Queen at Windsor Castle.
Last month he received his first vaccination for coronavirus.
The Queen remains at Windsor.
