A skiing party hoping to slope off to Switzerland for a holiday was stopped from boarding a Eurostar train.
The group was attempting to leave St Pancras but was turned away by French Border Police.
A train manager posted to Twitter a picture of the skiers and their kit.
He said that a ski trip was “not essential travel” and there are “very limited reasons for travel to France”.
He continued:
“I really fancy a trip with my family to eat chips in Brussels but there’s a global pandemic on right now.
“If we all do our bit and are patient for this final push, then hopefully we can get back to doing all of those things we love.”
Only a limited number of people can go to France from the UK; transport workers, people delivering goods or people who normally live there.
