Prime Minister Boris Johnson will be fined for going to a party in Downing Street during strict lockdown rules.
His wife Carrie will also be handed a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN).
So too will Chancellor Rishi Sunak.
The three are among some 30 FPNs issued today (Monday) by the Metropolitan Police.
Mr Johnson is the first PM to be fined for breaking the law while in Downing Street.
The FPN will put immense pressure on Mr Johnson to hold onto office.
Labour leader Sir Keir has already called for his resignation.
The PM has even faced tough demands from his own MPs to quit if it was found he’d gone to a party.
Mr Johnson told the House of Commons that he had not attended any events.
A No10 spokeswoman said:
“The Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer have today received notification that the Metropolitan police intend to issue them with fixed penalty notices.
“We have no further details, but we will update you again when we do.”
The statement did not mention Carrie Johnson.
A spokeswoman for Carrie Johnson said:
“In the interests of transparency, Mrs Johnson can confirm she has been notified that she will receive a Fixed Penalty Notice.
“She has not yet received any further details about the nature of the FPN.”
