All time cricket legend Shane Wayne has been buried in a private funeral attended by family and friends.
Warne’s three children, his parents, and friends – including former Aussie Test captains Mark Taylor and Allan Border – paid their final respects.
England skipper Michael Vaughan was also among the eighty mourners.
Leg spinner Warne – one of the game’s greatest players – died on March 4th.
He was on holiday with friends on Samui Island in southern Thailand.
A post-mortem examination found the 52-year-old had died of a suspected heart attack.
A state memorial at Melbourne Cricket Ground – the home of many of Warne’s greatest moments – is on March 30th and will be open to the public.
The ground’s Great Southern Stand will be renamed in his honour.
