Thousands of football fans might struggle to watch England play in the Euro 2020 final as rail operators cancel hundreds of services.
Govia Thameslink (GTR) – Britain’s biggest rail network – is cutting 400 of its 2,200 services as drivers are being “pinged” by the Government’s Test and Trace app.
GTR urged passengers to check trains are running before they travel.
Those who do make it to Wembley run the risk of not being able to make it home after the 20.00 kick-off.
If needed, extra time and a penalty shoot-out, could run the clock towards 23.00.
Long distance operator LNER has advised against travelling home by train.
