“Sorry- no vacancies” Britain’s holiday hotspots fully booked as people clamour for rooms

“Sorry – no vacancies” as demand for holidays in Britain has risen dramatically since lockdown measures were lifted.

Accommodation in parts of the UK is either fully booked or within an ace of being so.

A report by the Rest Easy Group revealed 98% of its properties in Cornwall were taken.

Neighbouring county Devon is also full to brimming – as is Yorkshire.

Matt Fox, CEO of Rest Easy Group, said:

“We are still seeing the staycation market boom, with both Silverlake, Dorset and Lower Mill Estate, Cotswolds, fully booked.”

And Red Paxton, of Habitat Escapes, said:

“We expect to see this increase in demand continue long into summer whilst international travel is still uncertain.”
