Britain has a new commemorative 50 pence coin to mark it leaving the EU.
The coin, unveiled by Chancellor Sajid Javid, bears the inscription “”Peace, prosperity and friendship with all nations”.
Mr Javid originally ordered a million coins for the proposed leaving date of October 31st last year.
But the bill failed to pass through parliament.
The coins were melted down and re-minted with the date January 31st.
He said: “Leaving the European Union is a turning point in our history and this coin marks the beginning of this new chapter.”
More than three million Brexit 50p coins will enter circulation from Friday.
Another seven million will be added later in the year.
Mr Javid, who is Master of the Mint, was given the first batch of coins.
One will be given to Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
